3:58 am	the life of mammals Within five minutes of beginning to watch this fabulous documentary, I decided with absolute conviction that I wanted to be a biology major. This may seem crazy to those who have known only the liberal-artsy side of me, but freshman and sophomore year I wanted to be a biology teacher! I went so far as to look up biology major requirement and do a complete registration worksheet to figure out what my schedule would be like. I even emailed my advisor! At 3:30 AM! I really thought this was my epiphany, where my path would become clear. Because even though this whole doctor thing is lame and overrated, animals are 100% undeniably cool. Half an hour later, I am beginning to have doubts. What kind of world is this, where midnight (midnight west coast time) epiphanies are meaningless? At least in Jerry Maguire, the come-down came the next morning. And I haven't been drinking at all, although I bet my advisor will have a hard time believing that. (1 Comment |Comment on this)

10:03 pm	tips for coping with the extreme cold 1. Invest in long underwear. Haven't actually quite gotten around to this, but plan on it ASAP. 2. When wearing thick woolen mittens, the volume levels on an ipod can be adjusted with your nose. Eskimo kisses for those who truly love music. 3. Stay in bed whenever possible. 4. Avoid long sandwich lines and warm your belly by heading for the soup. 5. Ugly and/or ridiculous boots. (2 Comments |Comment on this)

2:49 pm	Friday night I accidentally kicked Lillian in the face. Her head was at foot level, so it was not an entirely unreasonable mistake to make. Today, I am eating Swedish Fish and (kinda sorta) studying for chem. Tuesday night I will have to miss a brand new episode of Gilmore Girls to take this chem exam, but other than that, I am good.
